Sales Executive

delivery.com is seeking a Sales Executive to join our fun and growing team! This individual will serve as a key merchant account manager, overseeing onboarding, and expanding our merchant base.  He or she will be the key day-to-day merchant interface for a subset of delivery.com’s 12,000+ merchants, providing best-in-class account management to merchant partners on our on-demand marketplace platform.

 

The ideal candidate is a quick learner, with sales, operations or high-touch client support skills. He or she should excel at creating strong and relationships, and will work diligently to establish loyalty with our key merchant partners. This individual will evote their time to directly selling our ordering solution to merchants in all of our categories as well as promoting and marketing those businesses to our local customer base. The role will require both in-person and phone closing skills.

 

The Sales Executive reports to the Director of Sales, and is based in New York City. Come join us at our brand new downtown offices with picturesque waterfront views.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Sign merchants to the delivery.com network
  • Present delivery.com’s value proposition to local merchants in-person and over the phone
  • Cultivate leads and generate referrals
  • Consistently exceed monthly sales quota
  • Track sales activities in Salesforce
  • Set up and implement local marketing events
  • Management of local street team

 

Requirements:

  • Must be proactive, self-motivated, driven, organized, creative, and possess superior communication and problem solving skills
  • 1-2 years sales experience
  • Online and/or local sales preferred
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of local trends, sentiments and "Hot Spots" is a huge plus
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quota
  • Insane Work Ethic
  • Tech Savvy a strongly preferred
  • Foreign language skills a plus (Spanish, Chinese/Mandarin)

 

This is a salaried position, compensated at market competitive rates, that includes full benefits, including health, dental, 401(k).
